Matt Haggman for Florida’s 27th Congressional Race
Miami, FL – This week, Matt Haggman, candidate for Florida’s 27th Congressional District, announced the Miami-Dade Democratic Environmental Caucus (MDEC) endorsed his race for congress.
“I’m honored to have received the endorsement and support of the Miami-Dade Democratic Environmental Caucus. The MDEC has a proven track record of working to preserve, protect and enhance our natural environment, and I look forward to working with them as our campaign moves our environmental agenda forward.
“Climate change and sea level rise present a unique challenge to us in South Florida, but it is also grants us a great opportunity for our region to become the standard when it comes to finding solutions to safeguard our coastal communities. It’s imperative that we become world leaders in finding innovative ways to combat climate change and speed the transition to an economy powered by renewable energy. With commonsense reforms and a belief in entrepreneurship and human ingenuity, we can protect our environment, make our communities more resilient, while also expanding opportunity and grow jobs.
“While working at Knight Foundation, I launched an initiative that has sparked entrepreneurship and increased opportunity across South Florida. With MDECs credible data and effective environmental policy proposals, I will use the same entrepreneurial approach to protect our environment while driving economic growth.”
